Frown Lines (Glabellar Lines)
Frown lines -- the vertical creases between the eyebrows -- develop from repeated muscle contraction. They can make you appear angry or stressed even at rest.
Signs
One or two vertical lines between the brows, sometimes called 'elevens,' visible at rest or with expression.
Causes
Frequent squinting or frowning, sun damage, genetics, and skin aging.
Assessment
We evaluate line severity at rest and during animation, surrounding skin quality, and your goals.
Treatment
Neurotoxin injection (Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin) is the primary treatment. Filler may be added for deep etched lines that persist at rest.
